LCU Endowment Continues through 911±¬ÁÏÍø
As we enter the Thanksgiving season, we want to express our deep gratitude to Lincoln Christian University for entrusting their $4.8 million scholarship endowment to 911±¬ÁÏÍø and Lincoln Seminary. In last month’s 911±¬ÁÏÍø Trustees meeting, the Board designated that 100% of the $4.8 million be used exclusively as scholarships for students preparing for ministry. They created a separate LCU Endowed Scholarship Fund to be invested and awarded like our existing $5 million 911±¬ÁÏÍø Endowed Scholarship Fund. The LCU Endowed Scholarship Funds will continue to be given in the names honored in the original LCU endowment (including names like Hargrove, Lowery, Tesh, and Henderson) as scholarships for ministry students at 911±¬ÁÏÍø and Lincoln Seminary.
We at 911±¬ÁÏÍø express our thanks to LCU President Silas McCormick, the LCU leadership team, and the LCU Board of Trustees for the faithfulness and vision behind this gift. We are especially grateful for all the donors who contributed to those endowed scholarships through the years. Because of their generosity, generations of kingdom leaders have already been trained, and as those funds transfer to 911±¬ÁÏÍø, future generations will continue to be sent into the Lord’s harvest field. In both the seminary and these scholarships, we are honored to carry on the Lincoln name, and most of all, we are grateful that many more students will be prepared to make known the name of Jesus.
