Founded in May of 1919, New Mexico Baptist Children's Home is the longest continuously operating residential childcare facility in New Mexico. The goal of NMBCH has always been to make a difference in the lives of the children God entrusts to our care. The dedicated Christian staff is focused on the task of encouraging each child to become a well-adjusted and responsible individual. This includes guiding children in their growth physically, mentally, spiritually, and socially.

About the Position

Position Description

Join Our Mission at New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home! For over a century, New Mexico Baptist Children’s Home (NMBCH) has been on a mission to offer hope to children and families in need. We are looking for dedicated married couples to join us as house parents at our campuses in Portales and Estancia, New Mexico. House parents are everyday missionaries, bringing the love of Christ to children from hard places. They live in a family-style cottage and create a safe, Christ-centered home where healing begins and hope is restored.

  • Competitive Salary: $83,000 per couple or 41,500 per single female

Work-Life Balance: Enjoy an appealing schedule of 16 days on and 8 days off, giving you over 15 weeks off each year.

About Our Locations:

  • Portales, NM: A welcoming town with 17,000 residents, home to Eastern New Mexico University and near Cannon Air Force Base.
  • Estancia, NM: A beautiful rural community, just an hour from Albuquerque, with ample mountains and outdoor spaces to explore.

Requirements:

  • Committed Christians: Actively involved in an evangelical church.
  • Passionate Caregivers: A strong calling to work with children from hard places.
  • Team-Oriented: You will work with a team of committed staff who are all focused on providing a safe and loving home for our children.
